Item Letisko M.R.Štefánika v Bratislave a rozvoj diaľkových letov(University of Žilina, 2025) Mokoš, Patrik; Novák Sedláčková, AlenaUntil recently, long-haul flights from Bratislava were something unthinkable or unnecessary for many people. Nevertheless, from 2023 the airport has started servicing long-haul flights to distant exotic destinations such as the Dominican Republic, Vietnam or Cuba. Until then, passengers from the Slovak region usually chose one of the competing airports for this type of flight, such as Vienna, Budapest or Prague, which at that time, unlike Bratislava Airport, served long-haul flights. The original topic of the article and its aim was to propose a possible resumption of long-haul flights from Bratislava, at the time of the drafting of the assignment of this article long-haul flights from Bratislava were suspended, but during the drafting of the article their operation was resumed. The article therefore focuses on the development of long-haul flights from Bratislava, which requires a comprehensive view due to the airport's complicated position in terms of its geographical location in the region, categorisation, certification and economic performance. This article offers a complex insight for a certain proposals, based off of the inforrmation and dtata collected through the questionaire. The significance of the article lies in the clarification of the issue of the development of long-haul flights from Bratislava airport and the provision of theoretical proposals for resolvment of aspects influencing this development.Item Prospects for the development of Bratislava Airport and the influence of relations between airlines and the airport on the decisions of the airport management(University of Žilina, 2023) Pojedinec, Benjamín; Rostáš, JánThe research deals with the development of Bratislava Airport Milana Rastislava Štefánika. The primary goal of the work is to evaluate the current situation at Bratislava Airport, its equipment, layout, continuity of services, operational performance and evaluation of the airport‘s allocated and used capacity. The research is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, it is necessary to present a theoretical view of the basic concepts in aviation, the history of Bratislava Airport, the historical development of the number of passengers transported at this airport, the development of airlines operating in Slovakia and their influence on this airport, a brief evaluation of the number of destinations to which Bratislava Airport flies and considering the possibility of specializing this airport as a secondary airport for Vienna Airport. The essence of the practical part is the evaluation of the current situation at the Bratislava airport, the analysis of privatization possibilities and the implementation of a qualitative survey using a questionnaire. Based on the analysis and evaluation from the survey of the opinions of interested subjects, optimal alternatives for the further development of Bratislava Airport are provided in the context of broader management relations with airlines, as well as an evaluation of privatization options and their potential contribution to the development of Bratislava Airport.Item New trends in UAV construction(University of Žilina, 2023) Iakovlieva, Anastasiia; Bugaj, MartinAviation is one of the fastest developing segments of transport, the development of which did not bypass the construction of unmanned aerial vehicles. The main purpose of this paper is to analyze current trends that may affect the development of unmanned aircrafts in civil aviation. For the purpose of researching new trends in the construction of unmanned aerial vehicles, is needed to define today's state of development and also to divide UAVs by the type. In conclusion, the goal of the article is to define the direction in which the development of construction solutions is currently going and what the potential development in the use of UAVs new trends can bring.Item HYBRIDNÉ POHONY LIETADIEL(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Dančová, Dominika; Janovec, MichalThe aim of this paper is to evaluate the propulsion of aircraft from the present to the future development of the aviation industry. The paper describes the negative effects on the environment, new possible solutions for drives, as well as design modifications of engines. The first chapter is focused on the current propulsion of aircraft and their basic division. Described piston and jet engines. The second and third chapters describe the propulsion of hybrid and electric aircraft. They have great potential for reducing fuel consumption in aviation, as fuel prices are constantly rising. Hybrid electric propulsion systems not only provide fuel economy benefits, but also reduce take-off noise and emissions. The final chapter is focused on the results of research into the development of hybrid and electric drives, evaluated possible assumptions of success of individual parts.
