Item Climate Change in the Ecological Policy of Enterprises(University of Zilina, 2020) Wińska, Monika; Rybicka, IwonaClimate change is nowadays one of the most urgent challenges facing humanity. Therefore, each company, considering its good reputation, devotes a lot of attention to introducing pro-ecological solutions. This is done both at the level of processes carried out in the company and at the staff level. Regardless of the industry, there is an improvement in the awareness not only of employers but also employees in the matter of jointly caring for the environment in which they live. A number of new technological solutions are being introduced and employees are trained to stimulate and develop pro-environmental behaviour. In addition, reports are prepared containing information on the current situation in the company regarding the implementation of ecological solutions. Hence, the environmental policy of companies, regardless of the company's industry, plays an extremely important role in improving the state of the environment. The article presents examples of solutions used by one of the leading logistics operators with a range not only local or European but also global.Item Comparison of applications of Smart City concept in the capital cities of V4(University of Zilina, 2019) Jaculjaková, Simona; Trnka, Lukáš; Turská, Stanislava; Kurotová, Jana; Rybicka, IwonaThe article deals with the issue of Smart City concept in the capitals of the V4 countries. We have defined technical terms that are related to the issue. In the analysis of the current situation, we focused on individual areas in which the Smart City concept services are provided. Based on the analysis of the current state, we have concluded. The most frequently used applications in V4 capitals are those belonging to the three areas studied. These areas include transport, ecology and re-al-time services. We compared the individual applications provided to citizens in the capitals of the V4 countries. These applications are included in the three mentioned areas of the Smart City concept. Based on a detailed analysis, we defined the advantages and disadvantages of the three most used areas of the Smart City concept.Item Determination of probability distribution of customer input at post office(University of Zilina, 2017) Ďutková, Silvia; Hoštáková, Dominika; Mišík, Tomáš; Rybicka, IwonaIf we want to analyze a real system with a large number of input data, it is very convenient to determine a probability distribution that best fits to given input data. There are many statistical methods to determine the correct probability distribution and one of them is Chi-Square Goodness of Fit Test. This statistical test can be also used to find out a probability distribution of time intervals between arrivals of customers at post office. Intervals between arrivals of customers occur in continuous time and therefore we consider continuous probable distributions.Item Municipal Transport - Infrastructure(University of Zilina, 2016) Rybicka, Iwona; Droździel, Paweł; Caban, Jacek; Madleňák, RadovanOne of the most important problems that we face in Poland, is a low degree of safety connected with municipal transport infrastructure. It stands out from numerous factors and conditions. That is why numerous actions aimed at improving transport safety are being undertaken. One of them is improved safety of vehicles that are directly connected with municipal transport safety.
