Recently, the issue of alternative aircraft propulsion systems has been brought to the forefront. Particularly with reference to the environment, which in the case of aviation is represented by reducing noise emissions while reducing CO2 emissions. These issues are properly addressed by ICAO in its agenda, defining standards for reducing aviation emissions in Annex 16. The University of Žilina has special laboratories dealing with the environmental impact of aviation and subsequent research aimed at reducing it.Item Calculation and simulation of the parachutist's movement from the jump from the aircraft to landing on the ground(University of Zilina, 2021) Beník, Martin; Kováčik, ĽubomírIn this article, we focus on the movement of the parachutist from the jump from the plane to the impact on the ground. By creating a mathematical model based on Newton's second law, we create simulations, based on which we can determine whether the movement of a parachutist after jumping from a plane is a "free fall", or whether the action of forces and his position in the air affects the direction of his flight.Item MEASUREMENT OF GNSS INTERFERENCE AT AIRPORT ZILINA(University of Zilina, 2019) Kováčik, Ľubomír; Novák, Andrej; Lusiak, TomaszThe paper described the problems of GNSS interference measurement at airport Zilina. The Global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) are widely used both for civilian and military operations to determine the location, speed, acceleration, and trajectory of the user on the ground. GNSS refers to a constellation of satellites that provide signals from space transmitting positioning and timing on data receivers. The intentional errors include jamming and spoofing which are caused by systems sharing the same frequency illegally. The method for measuring signal interference is defined by the parameters that affect the calculation of the position of interest. Monitoring the extent of the interference and its impact is a necessary procedure for the successful management of aircraft operations at the airport.Item NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN AGRICULTURAL AERIAL WORKS(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Kováčik, ĽubomírAerial works in agriculture have began in the early 50s, by converting existing aircrafts into aircrafts capable of applying solid or liquid. Since then, aircraft have undergone major changes regarding airframes, engines and avionics. These changes allows them to continue to compete with ground machinery, which in some areas of the world has completely pushed out aviation technology.
